Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions – Bike and equipment rental

GROF CYCLING, its representatives, employees, and staff are not responsible for any bodily injury, property damage, loss, or delay caused by any third-party providing services for the company Kovego d.o.o. Furthermore, Grof Cycling and its employees are not liable for any injuries, death, damage, or loss, as the use of bicycles and equipment is beyond the company's actual control. Renters ride at their own risk, continuously inspect and monitor the condition of the bicycles and equipment, and agree that Grof Cycling (Kovego d.o.o.) is not responsible for injuries or death due to possible accidents and mishaps.

The following conditions apply to bike and equipment rental provided by Grof Cycling:

1. RENTAL AGREEMENT

Upon signing the rental agreement, Grof Cycling, as the lessor, commits to delivering the bicycle and other equipment to the renter in impeccable condition, along with appropriate safety gear (helmet, lock).
By taking possession of the rented equipment and signing the agreement, the renter declares their agreement with the general rental terms and confirms that they have inspected and verified the suitability and condition of the equipment before use.

2. BICYCLE RESERVATION

Bicycle reservations must be made in writing via email. The reservation must include the type of desired bicycle, the exact rental date, the required bicycle size, the height of the cyclist renting the bicycle, and any additional equipment needed (helmet, lock, navigation device).
Grof Cycling confirms the reservation in writing after verifying and confirming the availability of the desired bicycle. Once the reservation is reconfirmed in writing by the client, it is considered a fixed booking.

3. PICKUP, RETURN, AND DELIVERY

Bicycle pickup and return are possible at the company's address: Kovego d.o.o., Čeplje 12, 3305 Vransko.

In the case of delivery to another address, Kovego d.o.o. (Grof Cycling) charges a delivery and pickup fee according to the current price list. For delivery and pickup at another location, the renter must inform the lessor in writing via email of the location's address and the contact person's details (name, surname, and phone number). Renters are responsible for being at the delivery and pickup location and for receiving/returning the bicycles at the agreed time. If a third party collects the bicycles, they must ensure the bicycles are safely stored until the renter arrives.

Upon pickup and return, the client and the lessor jointly inspect the condition of the bicycle and equipment.

4. RENTER’S OBLIGATIONS

The renter must present a valid ID and provide accurate and valid personal information (name, surname, address, phone number, address, date of birth or personal ID number, age, weight, and height – for selecting the correct bicycle size). They must also present a valid credit card for the damage deposit.
The renter understands and agrees that subleasing the rented equipment is prohibited.

5. MAINTENANCE AND RESPONSIBILITY

The renter must use the rented equipment diligently and according to its intended purpose throughout the rental period. In the event of technical or other defects or signs of inadequacy of the equipment, the renter must immediately inform the lessor, who is obliged to repair the defect or replace the rented equipment.

The renter agrees to return the bicycle and equipment in the same condition as when received, considering normal wear and tear, and to repair or replace any lost, stolen, damaged, or broken components of the bicycle and other equipment, compensating Kovego d.o.o. (Grof Cycling) for any resulting damages. Grof Cycling is not responsible for malfunctions or damages to the bicycle that occur during the rental period for any reason.

6. THEFT AND DAMAGE

The rental equipment is not insured against damage and theft. In the event of theft, the renter must report the theft immediately to the police and give the lessor the original copy of the police report or the complaint record. In the event of theft, the renter will be charged an amount equal to the value of the stolen equipment.

If the rental period has not expired yet, the lessor will replace the equipment with a similar one, if available, and only after the renter has paid the he required compensation. In the event that stolen equipment is found, the renter will be reimbursed the full amount of compensation, reduced for any damage caused to the stolen equipment.
