The tour starts at Hotel Grof and leads towards Žovnek Castle where the ancestors of the Counts of Celje lived. We will visit the castle and then continue cycling past Lake Žovnek followed by a short break at a the local Green Gold Brewery which has been involved in hop production for more than a century. Their ancestors were the first to cultivate the hops in Savinja Valley. We will take a tour through the brewery and taste their beer. After we continue cycling among the green hop fields to the local Clef Brewery, where music and beer intertwine. At Clef we will taste various types of beer named after famous Slovenian song titles. We continue cycling to the washboards by a riverside where the lunch break will take place. We finish our journey at the Green Gold Beer Fountain in Žalec with a treat of a pint from local breweries from six different taps.

You are a family with young children, who cycle on diverse terrain with small climbs and descents.

You are in a poor shape and cycle up to twice a week. You cycle on slightly diverse terrain with smaller climbs and descents.

You are in a moderate shape and exercise more than 3x weekly. You cycle on hilly terrain with medium length climbs and descents.
