Longer Savudrija route

The tour starts in the coastal town of Savudrija, home to the oldest lighthouse on the Adriatic Sea. After a gentle warm-up ride along the shore, you head inland toward Kaštel, a typical Istrian village offering beautiful panoramic views.

A scenic climb follows through the wine-growing countryside to the artistic gem of Grožnjan, a perfect spot for the first longer break – enjoy a coffee or freshly baked focaccia on one of the stone terraces overlooking the Mirna River valley.

From Grožnjan, a gravel road leads to Kuberton, a quiet village surrounded by olive groves. From there, the route descends toward Momjan, famous for its hilltop fortress and excellent wines (be sure to taste the local muškat or teran, even if just a sip). After a short climb back up to Kaštel, with the sea once again in view, you descend back to Savudrija, where a dip in the sea or a cold drink at a seaside konoba (tavern) awaits.
