Paški Kozjak via Dobrna

This challenging but beautiful cycling tour takes you from Hotel Grof through picturesque villages and across the hilly landscape of the Savinja Valley. The route starts in Gomilsko and leads you towards Šempeter in the Savinja Valley, where you can see one of the most important Roman necropolises in Slovenia. You continue through Gotovlje and Velika Pirešica to Dobrna, where you can stop at the popular Terme Dobrna for a short break.

The most demanding part of the route follows – the climb to Paški Kozjak, where wonderful views and pristine nature await you. After the descent, you return to Dobrna, and then continue back towards Šempeter via Ponikve pri Žalcu and Podlog. Here we recommend a short visit to Jama Pekel, a natural landmark with underground secrets. Towards the end of the tour, you cycle past Komenda Castle on Polzela and through the villages of Kamenče and Prekop back to Hotel Grof.
