Šmohor

We start our cycling journey on a side asphalt road from the Grof Hotel, passing through Tabor and Gomilsko. At the end, we turn right onto a side road and continue to the regional road Medlog–Žalec–Šempeter–Ločica–Trojane–Želodnik–Trzin, where we turn right again.

At the first junction, we cross the road and turn left towards Grajska vas. A small ascent awaits us on a side asphalt road through the forests, after which we start to descend slightly towards Prebold. Before Prebold, we turn left towards the Odelo factory. We cross the Bolska River, take the first left at the junction, and travel along a gravel road until we reach the first hamlet.

We continue on an asphalt road through Kaplja vas, following the signs for Latkova vas, and then Šešče pri Preboldu, cycling past Sv. Lovrenc. In Šešče, we cross the Savinja River and cycle along the gravel road beside it to the Migojnice Bridge. Along the way, we enjoy views of the river and the Vrbje pond, which we pass by.

From Griže onwards, the route starts to gradually ascend to Suhi hrib and over Šmohor. We recommend a stop to enjoy the views and refresh at the Dom na Šmohorju. Following this, we descend to Tremerje.

At the Hochkraut inn, we turn right over the bridge and cycle along the Savinja River to Celje. At the first roundabout, we cross the Savinja River again and immediately after the bridge, we turn right. The path takes us along the Savinja River to Srčna Pot. There, we cross the Savinja River again and continue upstream to the Migojnice Bridge. This time, we do not take the path we came from, but instead turn right onto another gravel road. We see the Vrbje pond from the other side.

We cycle along the Savinja River until we reach the highway, where we continue on an asphalt road through Orlova vas. Part of the route to Polzela is once again on gravel. We complete the loop past Žovnek Lake and Prekop.
