After delicious breakfast in Grof Cafe we start cycling along the main road in the direction of Ljubljana. After about 6km of cycling, we turn left at the sign Zaplanina. Through a quiet village by the Zaplaninščica stream, the road starts to climb slightly. After climbing through the village, continue straight on at the junction and descend to Šentgotard and to Trojane. At Trojane, cross the main road to join the gravel road, which climbls slowly to the Lipovec Farm. There are views of the hills above Motnik to the right and the Kamniško Savinjske Alps to the left. Continue in the direction of the Kamnik - Savinja Alps. The gravel road leads to the starting point of the highest hill in the municipality of Blagovice - Špilk. The wide gravel road starts descending to Špitalič where it is joined with the main road. Cycle in the direction of Motnik and before Motnik in the village of Bela turn left behind the Church of St Nicholas, where the last 5 km of the climb are ahead of us. Before descending into the municipality of Vransko, the view of Zaplanina and Zahomce opens up again. Passing through the village of Vransko, we can return to the Hotel Grof and recharge our calories in Grof guesthouse with nice lunch or dinner.
