Cycling through Zasavje

This time we are heading to Zasavje. We start our journey at Hotel Grof. We cycle along the Bolska River towards Tabor and past the Lisjak Pond all the way to Prebold, where we turn right towards Marija Reka. Followed by the first significant climb to Podmeja and descent towards Trbovlje. At the Sava River, we cross the bridge and turn right towards Zagorje ob Savi. Just before Zagorje, at Šklendrovec, we turn left and ascend towards Podkum and Velika Preska, where we start descending towards Šmartno pri Litiji. When we arrive in Litija, we cross the Sava River once again and continue cycling towards Mošenik. In Mošenik we turn left and start climbing once again, this time towards Zasavska sveta gora, which lies 852 m above sea level. If you are running low on energy, you can refresh yourself at Zasavska sveta gora Mountain Hut. After the break, we continue with longer descent towards Vidrga and Izlake. When we arrive to Izlake we continue cycling in the direction of Čemšeniška planina followed by the last longer ascent of the day towards Čemšenik. We finish our day with the last descent towards Vransko and Hotel Grof.
