Across Čreta to Nazarje

We start our tour with a total ascent of 1360 meters at the Grof Hotel, heading towards Žovnek Lake. However, before reaching the lake, we turn left onto a gravel road at St. Martin's Church in Podvrh.

We gradually ascend along quiet surrounding roads towards Čreta, where the views of Žovnek Castle, Žovnek Lake, and the entire Lower Savinja Valley open up during the gravel climb. The route takes us past partisan memorials and burned homesteads from World War II. We then descend to Nazarje and the settlement of Kokarje. A final ascent awaits us, with over 500 meters of elevation gain along a forest gravel path. We conclude our journey with a descent through Jeronim and Brode.
