Hops and Beer

Gravel biking between the hop fields of the Lower Savinja Valley. Asphalt road first takes us over smaller hills towards Lake Žovnek which is home to many bird species. We follow the road all the way to Spodnje Gorče, to the first section of gravel road which leads us along green hop fields. When we arrive to Parižlje we cross the Savinja River for the first time and continue straight towards Polzela, where we turn right and continue cycling among the hop fields all the way to Spodnje Grušovlje. In Spodnje Grušovlje we cross the highway and follow the road towards Gotovlje. We continue cycling on local roads and among the hop fields past Arja vas all the way to Celje, where we turn back and continue towards Hotel Grof. We pass Petrovče and follow the gravel road towards the Beer Fountain in Žalec where we can treat ourselves to a mug of beer. We continue cycling past Vrbje Pond and along the Savinja River all the way to Latkova vas. We cross the Savinja River for the last time and follow the local roads all the way back to Hotel Grof.
