Žalec pays – family cycling route

We are inviting you to an active trip to the valley of green gold, the capital of Slovenian hop growing and brewing industry, and to a cold beer Kukec at the end of a successful day of exploring. Experience Žalec and Savinja Valley through the nature, historical moments or cuisine.

Your exploring and experiencing of the green destination will be rewarded. How?

By purchasing a ticket or a service, you receive a stamp. When you collect at least four, we will offer you a cold house beer Kukec at the beer fountain in Žalec or in the store Zeleno zlato in Žalec.

This special offer is valid from May to October 2021.

You will receive your first stamp in Grof, so we invite you to begin your adventure through Savinja Valley, by bicycle.

You are a family with young children, who cycle on diverse terrain with small climbs and descents.

 Criteria for road cycling

Easy

You are in a poor shape and cycle up to twice a week. You cycle on slightly diverse terrain with smaller climbs and descents.

Normal

You are in a moderate shape and exercise more than 3x weekly. You cycle on hilly terrain with medium length climbs and descents.

Hard

You are in a good shape and exercise regularly. You cycle on a hilly terrain and can spend multiple hours on a bicycle.

Expert

You are in an excellent shape and spend a lot of time exercising. You cycle on a hilly terrain with steep inclines and descents.
