Sveta planina and Mrzlica

To warm up, the route begins at Hotel Grof and heads through Tabor and Loke on a paved road towards the first gravel climb to Presedlje, where beautiful views of the Lower Savinja Valley start to open up. The gravel road continues toward the former ski resort Prvine, then at a junction we head straight through the villages of Dobrljevo, Čemšenik, and Jesenovo.

A climb follows to the scenic Sveta planina (Holy Mountain), a popular hiking and cycling destination offering stunning views of Zagorje ob Savi, Trbovlje, and the Posavsko Hills. From there, we descend gently on a paved road north of Javorje towards Podmeja in Knezdol, where the road branches off toward the Podmeja Hunting Lodge (Trbovlje).

From the lodge, the road becomes steeper – first paved, then gravel – all the way to the Dom na Mrzlici mountain hut, located at 1,122 meters above sea level.

A longer descent into Prebold follows, offering scenic views to the left towards the Reška Planina, to the right towards Golava, and straight ahead to the lush Lower Savinja Valley. The tour finishes via Kaplja vas, Grajska vas, and Ojstriška vas, returning to Hotel Grof.
